Seniors La Derrick Ward and Elizabeth Hampl of SIUE Track and Field captured the Male and Female Ohio Valley Conference Field Athlete of the Week for their performances at the Gateway Invite last Saturday.

SIUE Track and Field will take athletes to the Drake Relays and the Red Wolves Open, hosted by Arkansas State, Friday and Saturday.

With the help of the seniors competing in their last home meet, SIUE men s track and field won the Gateway Invite in a landslide, while the women placed second.

SIUE men s and women s track and field found time in between their weekend meets to participate in two community service events.

SIUE men s and women s track and field will hold their annual Gateway Invite at Korte Stadium Saturday beginning at 2 p.m.

SIUE men s and women s track and field saw 11 top-five finishes from the Cougars in day two of the WKU Hilltopper Relays, including five total from Braxton Klavins, Ahmad Evans, and Jessica Oranika.
