SIUE women s track and field Head Coach Eileen McAllister has announced the signing of the reigning Illinois High School Association triple jump state champion, Nichyria Byrd (Chicago, Illinois).

SIUE track and field athletes competed well in the first day of the Red Wolves Open.

Senior Elizabeth Hampl placed fifth out of 25 competitors in the hammer throw with a toss of 183-1 at the historic Drake Relays.

The SIUE track and field and cross country teams celebrated their success at their sixth annual team banquet.

Seniors La'Derrick Ward and Elizabeth Hampl of SIUE Track and Field captured the Male and Female Ohio Valley Conference Field Athlete of the Week for their performances at the Gateway Invite last Saturday.

SIUE Track and Field will take athletes to the Drake Relays and the Red Wolves Open, hosted by Arkansas State, Friday and Saturday.
